The Yamaha Corporation was created in 1887 and has been manufacturing drums since 1967. Yamaha is the world's largest manufacturer of musical instruments. Their drums are made by hand overseas (factories in Japan and Indonesia)by well-trained craftsmen.
Their current line of acoustic drums include the PHX (Phoenix) which is a hybrid 11-ply shell, the Recording Custom which the official Yamaha site states is "the most recorded drum set in history", as well as the Absolute, Oak, Tour, Stage Custom and Hipgig series.
They also have an impressive line of electronic drums and pads. In 2006, Yamaha acquired rights to the Rogers Drums Company which is most famous for it's Dynasonic Snare and it's line of beginner drums for affordable prices. Find unique snares from Yamaha Drums.
