Vic Firth Drum Sticks

The Vic Firth Drum Sticks company produces around twelve million drum sticks a year. They are the world's largest producer and one of the most played brands in the drumming world. If you can't decide between 5A, 5B, or 7A, you may want to check out Vater's Selection Tips.

Vic Firth 5A Classic

These 5A Classics are one of the most popular brands. They are great for beginner drummers and advanced players alike. When it comes to 5A drum sticks, I usually skip the higher priced individual pairs and buy in bulk. Bulk sticks are most often made of a lower grade wood and for this reason they tend to break a lot more. But, I prefer to use the cheap ones for practicing. I keep the higher end 5A sticks set aside until it's showtime. It's one way to ensure I'm not putting any more knicks and scrapes into my "live" pair of drumsticks than I have to.

Vic Firth 5B American Classic with "Vic Firth Grip"

I won't bother posting every selection available, there are simply too many. You can find a huge selection of Vic Firth at American Musical Supply. I just wanted to give you an example of the various styles available. If you see a pair you like, check out American Musical Supply and get it in your size. You might also want to compare prices at GuitarCenter.com.

For a more in depth discussion of what makes drumsticks different, I have included some information on drum stick sizes and how to choose drumsticks that you may find helpful.
