Single Drag



These snare drum exercises will cover the Single Drag rudiment. To see all the exercises, simply use the link at the bottom of this page.



The drag rudiment is very similar to playing a Flam. The only difference being the number of grace notes. Whereas the flam only has one grace note before the primary hit, the drag has two, as shown above.


This video breaks down the rudiment into right and left handed parts and then brings them together to play the full rudiment.
