Electronic Drum Set

Today's electronic drum set is a huge improvement over the earliest kits which were used for specific music genres where variations in timbre were unwanted, such as disco and techno. Today's electronic set is used across all types of genres and is much closer to playing an acoustic set than its predecessors. A full set can range in price from a few hundred dollars for a stripped down model well into the thousands for a top of the line drum kit. Roland's V-Series lists for 6,999 on guitar center's website.
