Electronic Drum Pads

Electronic drum pads come in a wide variety of designs and quality. I have played a few different electronic sets (never an owner) and of all of the ones I've tried, the Roland V Drums seem to be the best. I'm not a big fan of the rubber pads unless you are using them as an expansion on your acoustic set for triggering samples.

As far as playing on electronic pads goes, I can't stand it. They feel weird, I can't roll as well on them and the stick rebound is too much. Roland seems to have addressed this problem with their mesh head electronic pads. They feel natural and are the only electronic pads I've played that are anything close to feeling like an acoustic drum. If I ever finally get around to purchasing an electronic drum set, which I hope to soon, Roland V Drums will be the way I go.
