Cymbal Sets

Cymbals are an expensive addition to drumsets, but by purchasing pre-packed cymbal sets, you can often save some money and take the hassle out of choosing each piece individually. These sets offer a well rounded sound that is great for beginner drummers. I usually buy pre-packs whenever I need new "basic" pieces (hi-hats, ride, crash), but I prefer to buy individually when adding new pieces like chinas or bells.

As you progress in your drumming style, you will eventually want to hand pick each cymbal to create your own unique sound. Below are just a few examples of some sets available. You can see more sets from various manufacturers on the cymbal homepage (link at bottom of page).

Starter Kits

These kits offer a well rounded over all sound and usually include a combination of hi hats, crashes and rides. I like to purchase these kits for a good base sound and then build around it with unique pieces.

These cymbal sets most often include chinas and splashes. Sometimes you will also find packs that include unique finishes like hand hammered cymbals.
